CCD Program
The D4C Mentoring Program connects designers and professionals across disciplines to engage in impactful community projects. Launched in 2018 in partnership with Di Lab at the American University of Beirut, the program aims to cultivate a new generation of socially responsible architects who will shape the future of the built environment.
Program Objectives
The program directly addresses challenges in Lebanon's architecture and engineering sectors, such as limited job opportunities and the neglect of community needs in construction projects. Participants develop innovative, low tech solutions for sustainable development, enhancing the wellbeing of vulnerable households in response to humanitarian needs.
Program Achievements
To date, D4C has developed 12 community based design courses, partnered with 6 major Lebanese universities including AUB, LAU, NDU, Phoenicia University, and ALBA, delivered 15 built community projects, and dedicated more than 450,000 design hours to marginalized communities across the country.

Program Details
The design workshops aim to expose and inspire students to engage in community based design. Students learn through practical, hands on projects that encourage them to develop sustainable and impactful design solutions for local communities.
The mentoring program educates and trains fresh graduates and young professionals. Participants gain hands on experience through mentorship and civic engagement, developing practical skills essential for tackling real world challenges.
The architectural design practice employs professionals to implement community based projects. These projects aim to improve the living conditions and quality of life for marginalized communities across Lebanon.
